I put together my first vertical garden today. I bought a cheap picture frame, removed the glass, lined it with a plastic bag, then put in the dirt and various succulents!

End of Cold Weather!
So, since the weather is finally nice, I've gone out and started adding to my collection again. I just came home with: okra, tomatoes, spinach, strawberries, lemon balm, and geranium plants. I also purchased a seed packet of mixed salad greens as an experiment. I've never grown from seed before, but I'm hoping to make some home grown salads soon!
Recently I returned from my mom's house and she let me take some cuttings from some of her plants. I brought home from her house: an Angel Wing Begonia, Fairy Castle Cactus, a night blooming cereus, and some sedum looking plant that i have never been able to identify.
About a week ago I brought home a few succulents. I got: a Key Lime Pie, sempervivum Cobweb, Echeveria 'Irish Mint', Echeveria 'Plush Plant', and Fire Sticks.
Around Christmas my family gifted me a dykia plant, and a cute collection of 1" potted cactus!

Recently, I repotted my two Phalaenopsis orchids. One of them already has two new flower spikes. And while I was out getting orchid potting mix, I picked up an orchid I've never grown before, a Cattleya. It was a very small plant, and when I repotted it, most of the roots looks pretty lousy so I'm not very optimistic that it will survive, but it will at least be fun trying out a new plant!
